Job summary

Melium Consulting Ltd. partners with a global leader in food ingredients to appoint a Project Engineer for a major Magdeburg site. The role is hands-on, delivering capital and plant-improvement projects from concept through commissioning in a highly automated operation.

You will lead CAPEX projects, coordinate internal teams and external contractors, and ensure safety and compliance while driving process improvements and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or related discipline.
• Proven project engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience delivering CAPEX projects and managing external contractors.
• German and English language capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX projects from concept, design and budgeting through installation and commissioning.
• Deliver plant upgrades across process equipment, utilities and manufacturing infrastructure.
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and technical partners.

Melium Consulting is partnering with a global leader in food ingredients and agricultural processing to appoint a Project Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Magdeburg.

This is a hands-on engineering role within a highly automated operation, responsible for delivering capital and plant-improvement projects from concept through to commissioning.

The mandate

• Lead CAPEX projects from concept, design and budgeting through installation and commissioning
• Deliver plant upgrades across process equipment, utilities and manufacturing infrastructure
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and technical partners
• Manage project scope, cost, schedule, safety and technical compliance
• Support process optimisation, reliability and capacity-improvement initiatives

The profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or a related discipline
• Proven project engineering experience within a complex manufacturing environment
• Strong experience delivering CAPEX projects and managing external contractors
• Background in food, ingredients, chemicals, oils, biofuels or continuous-process manufacturing advantageous
• Professional German and English language capability
