Charging needs to be simple and easy to use, therefore we focus on digitized and customer-oriented services. We develop white label public charging solutions for automotive OEMs and fleet operators. These services provide access to multiple networks of Charge Point Operators (CPO) and enable drivers of electric vehicles to find, use and pay for public charging in an easy and seamless way.
Since the beginning of 2019, Digital Charging Solutions GmbH has been part of the mobility joint venture between the BMW Group and Daimler AG. CHARGE NOW is a service of DCS and part of this joint venture, which aims to strengthen sustainable mobility together with FREE NOW.
As a Data Scientist, you will work from our Berlin office and will develop models and insights that help predict charging behavior, optimize billing, and improve customer engagement. You will combine advanced statistical methods with business acumen to shape product and financial strategies in the e‑mobility sector.
Analyze charging data, billing flows, and customer usage to identify drivers of revenue, cost, and engagement.
Build predictive models for churn, load forecasting, pricing, and promotion effectiveness.
Design and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments to validate product and commercial initiatives.
Develop advanced analytics in Snowflake and PostgreSQL, leveraging Python or R for modeling.
Translate complex models into actionable insights and communicate results to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with analysts and engineers to ensure data availability, quality, and scalability.
5–8 years of experience in data science, ideally in mobility, energy, or fintech.
Strong SQL skills (Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and solid experience with Python (or R).
Proven track record of applying ML/statistical models to real-world business problems.
Experience with experimentation frameworks and advanced statistical methods.
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for storytelling and insight communication.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to bridge technical outputs with strategic decisions.
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
