Overview

In this role, you will have a key role in ensuring our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality. You will work with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure that procedures are updated based on regulation changes and continuous improvement initiatives are carried out successfully.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Lead, maintain, and continually improve the site’s Quality Management System in line with applicable standards and Emerson requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies, procedures, and processes that support a culture of zero defects and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the investigation, root cause analysis, and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external nonconformities.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits (customer audits, certification audits, corporate audits), ensuring timely closure of findings and robust action plans.
  • Define, track, and report key quality metrics (e.g., customer complaints, scrap, rework, on-time delivery, first-pass yield) and use data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to proactively address quality risks, optimize processes, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Support supplier qualification and development activities in collaboration with Procurement, including supplier audits and performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to colleagues on quality standards, best practices, and customer-specific requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need
  • Experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Lead, or similar senior quality role in an industrial, automation, or manufacturing environment.
  • Background in managing certifications and audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 2700 customer-specific or industry-specific standards).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build strong working relationships across the organization.
  • Proficient English and German.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working with ERP or quality-related IT systems to track, analyze, and report quality performance.
  • Ability to work in a global organization, collaborating across sites and cultures, and sharing best practices within a wider quality community.
  • Educational background in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience gained in industry.
  • Experience with products in hazardous areas and ATEX certifications.
