Job Description

In order to support the area “Connected Intelligence”, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Project Management Officer (d/f/m) for the area “Connected Intelligence” in the Programme Unit “Space Digital / Secure Connectivity DACH”.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Project Management Plan and ensure adherence to this plan
  • Manage the Project Management digital ecosystem to operate the project
  • Prepare and facilitate meetings and support preparation of milestones
  • Maintain the project’s action register and drive the timely closure of actions
  • Coordinate preparation of reports in various formats for both internal and external customers
  • Maintain the project’s integrated plan in the appropriate toolset, embedding inputs from all contributing stakeholders
  • Manage work‑packages to ensure on‑time, on‑cost, on‑quality and on‑performance delivery
  • Prepare and track purchase orders for all project required materials
  • Ensure right level of requirement/information cascade to allow the team/supplier to perform its duty
  • Coordinate and synchronize the work‑packages’ activities (technical, configuration management, safety, security, product assurance, architecture, IVQ, …)
  • Prepare and contribute to project export control related activities
  • Proactively seek out and implement improvements in your way of working, and in the overall execution of the project
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Successfully completed studies in Engineering or Business Administration with 2 to 3 years of experience in leading projects or as a PMO
  • A PMP certification would be a plus
  • Ability to understand technical complexities and risks of our projects
  • Can anticipate needs and issues in support of the Project Manager and act as co‑pilot
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Comfortable working across functions, in international teams and environments, and influencing and persuading stakeholders amid conflicting priorities
  • Master typical office applications and are generally well‑versed in digital tools
  • Very good command of German and English (written and spoken)
