Description

Red Clover is a New Jersey based outsourced strategic Human Resources firm managing the recruitment process on behalf of a client.

Tarisio is the leading international venue for fine instruments and bows. Launched in 1999, Tarisio revolutionized the market by combining first‑class expertise, the efficiency of online bidding, and a firm commitment to ethics and professionalism. Our goal is to make buying and selling instruments increasingly accessible for musicians, patrons, dealers and collectors. We have offices in New York, London and Berlin, and conduct seven auctions per year as well as year‑round private sales of high‑value items, selling more than 3,000 fine instruments and bows annually to a truly global market.

Based in our Berlin office, the Production Manager & Cataloguer oversees all presale operational activities and ensures that each auction and Private Sale is delivered on time, to standard and with a high degree of accuracy. The role combines project management, operational coordination, cataloguing, and inventory oversight, with responsibility for managing non‑financial compliance, including endangered species (CITES) compliance. You will collaborate daily with specialists, photographers, luthiers and operations, and colleagues across London and New York. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage tight deadlines, and a proactive, hands‑on mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver the full Berlin auction production timeline from intake to publication, coordinating all presale workflows
  • Set and track deadlines for cataloguing, photography, condition reporting and lutherie work for all auctions and Private Sales
  • Identify operational risks early and ensure all tasks and stakeholders remain aligned and on schedule
  • Maintain accurate production schedules and records, ensuring full visibility across teams
  • Improve and refine operational workflows, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to increase speed and accuracy
  • Working with the bookkeeper, help coordinate shipping for auctions, private sales, trials and evaluations; liaise with couriers and logistics partners, negotiate contracts, and maintain updated shipping rate information.
  • Manage endangered‑species compliance tasks (CITES), including documentation preparation and physical certificate handling where required
  • During periods of high volume, perform detailed cataloguing of instruments and bows and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Oversee vault and showroom organisation, ensuring safe storage and presentation of inventory
  • Oversee day‑to‑day premises administration for the Berlin office, including supplies, maintenance, vendor coordination and ensuring a safe, well‑organised working environment
  • Execute best‑in‑class packing and handling standards for instrument safety and transport
  • Act as a senior point of escalation for operational client questions
  • Oversee completion of checklists, quality reviews and final sign‑offs prior to catalogue publication

You are an organised, proactive and detail‑oriented project manager who thrives in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments. You enjoy coordinating multiple people and tasks, bringing clarity and structure to complex workflows, and keeping production moving smoothly. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure and are comfortable making decisions to resolve issues before they become problems. You take pride in accuracy, consistency and high‑quality work, and you’re equally at ease managing timelines, supporting colleagues and stepping in hands‑on when needed. You work well independently and collaboratively, and you bring a practical, solutions‑focused mindset to every challenge.

  • Clear and effective communicator with the ability to motivate teams and keep workflow moving
  • Detail‑oriented with a high standard for accuracy and completeness
