People Technology Functional Manager, Global Operations Analytics and Technology (m/f/x)

Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced People Technology Functional Manager to join our HelloFresh People Team at either our New York City or Berlin Headquarters. In this role, you will lead a small team of People Technology Functional Specialists, ensuring the successful operation and enhancement of our People Technologies, specifically focusing on the Workday Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits modules.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage a small team of People Technology professionals, providing mentorship and coaching on Workday functional topics, while ensuring the team delivers high-quality solutions.
  • Be a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Workday Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits modules, ensuring they meet the needs of the People function.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end Workday functional solutions, focusing on Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits.
  • Identify opportunities to use Workday to drive transformation and process improvements across the People function.
  • Lead functional workstreams within large projects, such as country rollouts, system integrations, and new module implementations.
  • Manage and resolve complex production issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.
  • Optimize Workday reporting and analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights to HR and business leaders.
  • Maintain a robust security model in Workday and oversee the system audit process to ensure data quality and address data errors trends.
  • Develop and maintain user training materials and deliver training to stakeholders across the business.
  • Cultivate a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and service excellence.
What You’ll Bring
  • 1–3 years of experience leading a People Technology or Workday functional team, with strong leadership and coaching skills focused on team performance and cross-functional collaboration.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and deploying Workday functional solutions, specifically in Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, or Benefits modules with a comprehensive understanding of configuration and functionality.
  • In-depth knowledge of the HR function, HR data structures in Workday, and related processes and security.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to drive Workday transformation initiatives that improve business processes and employee experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, comfortable with complex data analysis and large datasets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
