On-site HPC Technical Consultant. This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home.

Job Description:

Location: Memphis, TN

Hours: M-F, 8am to 5pm on-site or 7am to 4pm remote

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repair and maintenance on HPC compute, network, and storage hardware.
  • Review tickets for hardware actions and document the steps taken.
  • Complete training on specialized hardware components.
  • Read system documentation and diagrams to identify components.
  • Collaborate with team members via face-to-face, phone, email, Teams, and Slack.
  • Perform hardware replacements using hand tools and low-power tools.
  • Maintain organized tools and lift/move parts up to 50 lbs individually and 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Occasionally operate pallet jacks for inventory movement.
  • Assist with system installation activities and interface with parts inventory as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Associates or BS preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
  • Experience with computer hardware and data centers preferred.
