Zusammenfassung

Timelyne in Germany is seeking a hands-on technical specialist to install fiber optic and network cables, clean and inspect fiber connections, label equipment, and perform Smart Hands support on network and server hardware. You will troubleshoot hardware, rack and unrack devices, power cycle equipment, reseat components, and conduct RMA/return logistics.

A flexible, customer‑oriented mindset, problem solving, and basic IT knowledge are essential, with experience in Excel beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Install fiber optic and network cables and inspect connections.
• Label equipment with customer designations and perform Smart Hands tasks.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and rack/unrack devices.
• Power cycle networking gear and reseat components as needed.
• Support RMA/reverse logistics on hardware components.
• Provide 24x7 support as part of a technical rota.

Installation of fiber optic and network cables.

Clean and inspect fiber connections.

Label equipment and cables with customer specific designations.

Perform Smart Hands supporton network and server hardware.

Troubleshooting hardware problems.

Racking and de-racking of any device.

Power cycling a router, server, switch and soft-booting a server.

Inspecting devices to assess equipment status.

Re-seating or replacing components or cables.

Swapping removable storage media.

Perform RMA/Reverse logistics on hardware components.

Installing and replacing Fiber Optics or Gigabit Interface Converters.

Labelling/inventory equipment plus digital picture and serial number / barcode scanning.

Provide 24 x 7 support as part of a technical rota - on day and / or night shifts.
