Job summary

N Consulting Ltd is seeking a Hands & Feet Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support for network and IT infrastructure at customer locations and data centers across Germany. The role involves hardware installation, cabling, and basic configuration under remote guidance, with a focus on reliability and customer service.

You will work with remote engineers and NOC teams to perform rack-and-stack tasks, document work, and participate in maintenance windows.

Qualifications

Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs)
Structured cabling and rack infrastructure
Ability to identify and connect fiber/copper cables
Familiarity with routers/switches/firewalls/WAPs
Basic console access and terminal usage
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support for network, server, and IT infrastructure activities.
Install, rack, stack, and cable network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs).
Perform hardware replacement, upgrades, and component installations as directed.
Connect and verify power, console, and network cabling.
Assist with racks, patch panels, cable management, and labeling.
Support wireless AP mounting and basic installation activities.
Capture logs, device status, and environmental details for troubleshooting.
Coordinate with remote NOC and vendors; maintain documentation of work and reports.
Follow safety, security, and change management procedures.
