Iron Systems, Inc in Hamburg is seeking an IT support technician to act as the single local contact for IT queries and to troubleshoot hardware, software and OS issues. You will perform desk-side support, manage peripherals, and assist with security compliance while ensuring warranty conditions are respected.

Responsibilities include handling LAN/WAN basics, lifting equipment up to 50 lbs, and using ITSM tools, with communication in German and adherence to deadlines.

• Single point of local contact for IT queries.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues and fix the issues without impacting/violating the hardware warranty or customer security compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals' hardware problems, as well as desktop applications.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
• Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing upto 50Lbs.
• Skilled in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows O/S.
• Experience with anti-spyware and anti-virus software.
• Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
• Smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware, including but not limited to monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, multi-port data termination panels all under ‘Smart Hands’ capability.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using excellent deductive reasoning skills.
• Understanding of ITSM ticketing tools.
• Good written and verbal communications skills with clients along with proficiency in the German language.
• Ability to work with deadlines and complete tasks on-time.
