Your area of work:

The Xetra/Eurex operations department is responsible for installation, technical operation, and the second level support of Eurex and Xetra clearing, trading and risk production applications.

Your role involves managing and operating ORACLE Databases for acceptance testing, simulation, and production environments in close collaboration with development and application operations teams. It includes conducting technical tests, automating monitoring and operational processes, and providing second-level support for production operations.
You will work in a carefully maintained environment with mission‑critical and high‑availability systems.

Your responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain ORACLE Databases in test, simulation, and production environments.
  • Performance analysis and tuning
  • Performing configuration changes using the change management system of Deutsche Börse Group
  • Performing trouble shooting and incident-/problem management tasks
  • Participate in on‑call duties and weekend work.
Your profile:
  • Database administration knowledge for Oracle Server databases
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting.
  • Basic system management knowledge of RedHat Linux.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for analysis.
  • Highly motivated, organized individual who can work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to be on call and occasionally work on Saturdays
  • Outlook and Microsoft Office skills
  • Good knowledge of German and English in speech and writing as a workplace language
  • Additionally, you need to be a team player with good communication skills
