Job summary

UnFoldMart in Frankfurt am Main is seeking an HR Generalist to drive the DACH people function as we scale.

You will lead recruiting, onboarding, HR administration and payroll coordination, while ensuring German compliance and supporting the business in English.

This hybrid role offers a clear growth path and coaching from our HR Head Europe.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR, recruiting or HR operations, in Germany
• Know the basics of German employment practice: contracts, probation, leave, sick notes, references
• Are organised and calm when many tasks are in flight
• Speak and write German fluently and work comfortably in English
• Treat people’s data and questions with care and discretion

Responsibilities

• Recruiting: Post roles, screen candidates, coordinate interviews and keep candidates informed at every step
• Onboarding and offboarding: Contracts, documents, equipment, first-week plans and clean exits
• HR administration: Employee records, absences, certificates and the HR system
• Payroll coordination: Prepare monthly changes for our payroll provider, accurately and on time
• Employee questions: Be the first contact for HR questions from the DACH team
• Compliance: Keep job ads, contracts and data handling in line with German and Austrian rules

Help build the team behind our DACH growth

UnFoldMart is hiring across Germany, Austria and Switzerland faster than ever. Every new colleague needs a great hiring experience, a smooth first day and HR they can count on. That is you.

You’ll run day-to-day HR for our DACH teams, and help build the processes we’ll use as we grow from a few people to many.

What you will own

• Recruiting. Post roles, screen candidates, coordinate interviews and keep candidates informed at every step
• Onboarding and offboarding. Contracts, documents, equipment, first-week plans and clean exits
• HR administration. Employee records, absences, certificates and the HR system
• Payroll coordination. Prepare monthly changes for our payroll provider, accurately and on time
• Employee questions. Be the first contact for HR questions from the DACH team
• Compliance. Keep job ads, contracts and data handling in line with German and Austrian rules

Your first 90 days

• Days 1 to 30: Learn our tools and policies, take over live hiring processes
• Days 31 to 60: Run onboarding for new DACH joiners from offer to day 30
• Days 61 to 90: Improve one HR process and document it so it scales

You will thrive here if you

• Have 2+ years in HR, recruiting or HR operations, in Germany
• Know the basics of German employment practice: contracts, probation, leave, sick notes, references
• Are organised and calm when ten things need doing at once
• Speak and write German fluently and work comfortably in English
• Treat people’s data and questions with care and discretion

Bonus points: experience in an agency or scale-up, Personio or HiBob, Austrian HR knowledge.
