Job summary

UnFoldMart is building an HR function for Europe as it expands across Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria and the UK. You’ll design the operating model, oversee hiring, onboarding, pay and compliance across six countries, while preserving a culture of ownership.

Reporting to the Global HR Head, you will own salary bands, performance cycles and leadership coaching, shaping a unified people strategy across multi-country teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in HR with 4+ years leading HR across multiple European countries.
• Strong knowledge of employment law in Germany and at least two of: Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria, UK.
• Experience setting up HR in a scale-up or new markets.
• Practical: ship policies quickly and coach leaders effectively.
• Bonus points for HRIS rollouts (Personio, HiBob, Deel) and works council experience.

Build HR for a company opening a new country every quarter

UnFoldMart is growing across Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria and the UK at the same time. That means new entities, new contracts, new teams and new leaders, all at once. Most HR leaders inherit a system. You get to design one.

You’ll build the people function for Europe: how we hire, how we onboard, how we pay, how we grow people and how we stay compliant in six countries, while keeping the culture of ownership that got us here.

What you will own

• The HR operating model. Policies, processes and tools that work across six countries without becoming bureaucratic
• Hiring at pace. Run leadership and team hiring across Europe with clear, fair, fast processes
• Compliance. Contracts, payroll partners, works council readiness, GDPR and the EU Pay Transparency rules, country by country
• Pay and performance. Salary bands, review cycles and incentive plans that reward contribution
• Culture. Onboarding, engagement and leadership coaching so a team spread across countries still feels like one company
• Your team. Lead the HR Executive DACH and the HR partners you add as we grow

Your first 90 days

• Days 1 to 30: Audit contracts, payroll setups and policies in every European entity. Fix the urgent gaps
• Days 31 to 60: Launch a common hiring process and salary framework across Europe
• Days 61 to 90: Europe handbook live, open hires on track, and a people plan for the next 12 months

You will thrive here if you

• Have 10+ years in HR, including 4+ leading HR across several European countries
• Know employment law and practice in Germany well, and at least two of: Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria, UK
• Have set up HR in a scale-up or a newly opened market, not only run an established function
• Are practical: you’d rather ship a good policy this month than a perfect one next year
• Coach leaders with confidence and handle hard conversations with care

Bonus points: agency or professional-services background, HRIS rollouts (Personio, HiBob, Deel), works council experience.

• €95,000 to €120,000 gross per year, plus an annual bonus of up to 15%
