HR Business Partner (m/f/d)

MSD is a global health care leader. We are looking to welcome you as an HR Business Partner to join our team in Burgwedel (near Hannover) on a permanent full‑time basis.

Responsibilities

• Support key stakeholders in implementing the organization’s strategic direction, focusing on relevant KPIs.
• Provide strategic and day‑to‑day HR support on topics such as engagement, culture change, talent development, succession planning, performance management, retention, compensation/rewards and organizational design.
• Oversee strategic HR topics in close collaboration with HR Centers, ensuring local processes for performance management, compensation & benefits, retention, talent management and succession planning align with global corporate standards.
• Advise managers on labor law and work with the Works Council on modern company regulations.
• Draw up works council agreements to create a modern, competitive working environment.
• Accompany change processes to promote an engaged, high‑performing corporate culture.

Qualifications

• Business administration or related studies; or experience equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years as an HR Business Partner in an international matrix environment, capable of operating independently.
• Coaching‑oriented HR approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Deep expertise in German labor law, collective agreements, and experience working with works councils.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – fluency in German and English required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % and ability to manage multiple projects to successful delivery.
• Business orientation, analytical skills, and proven ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and a solution‑oriented mindset.
