Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the global product compliance strategy in alignment with business, technology, and sustainability goals
  • Ensure globally harmonized compliance practices while adapting to regional regulatory requirements and customer expectations
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring proactive product safety and regulatory adherence
  • Plan and execute compliance initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations to the executive leadership
  • Lead and manage a global network of compliance professionals through a matrix organization, balancing functional governance with regional operational accountability and fostering collaboration and effective communication
  • Advance the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees, ensuring a culture of compliance throughout the organization
  • Drive change programs related to the digitalization and automation of compliance processes
  • Represent FUCHS in global regulatory forums and industry associations, and stay ahead of regulatory changes and trends
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
  • Strong expertise and experience in (global) regulatory and product compliance and its implementation in the chemical, lubricants, or life sciences industry
  • Strategic strength and business acumen to balance regulatory integrity with commercial needs, and to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidelines and processes
  • Experience in a (lateral) leadership role and proven success in leading through influence within a multinational matrix organization, ideally in a global company
  • Skilled in data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and potential compliance risks
  • Strong strategic foresight and innovation capability
  • Excellent operational execution skills with a results‑oriented mindset
  • Proven track record of fostering a collaborative environment and building strong relationships across the organization, regulatory forums, and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills across different levels and cultures
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken) is required - additional language skills are a plus
