A leading company in neuroadaptive technology is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support the development of innovative brain-computer interface solutions. The role involves requirements engineering, prototype testing, and collaboration on client projects. Join a diverse team to redefine human-machine interaction and bring deep tech from lab to market.
Zander Labs builds cutting-edge neuroadaptive technology that redefines how humans interact with machines. We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to help translate our research into applied, high-impact passive brain-computer interface (pBCI) solutions.
The Role:
As Hardware Engineer, you’ll support the development of our innovative pBCI technology. From specifying an analog EEG frontend to testing an embedded system that is processing the acquired data, your generalist approach allows you to support the hardware development process at all stages. You will work in our Berlin office, with on-site presence of 4 days.
What you’ll do:
Requirements engineering: Put the developments with external parties on a solid foundation by defining, documenting, and managing requirements of components and subsystems
Prototype testing, verification, and validation: Ensure that the developed devices fulfill the requirements and enable the desired use scenarios through thorough testing
Industrialization of products: Support taking products to the next level of industrialization by optimizing manufacturability and enabling certifications
Technology and feasibility studies: Scout and evaluate new technology approaches for optimizing our hardware solutions
Support client projects: Support client-specific projects with your hardware expertise, and collaborate with our team of processing experts to find optimal system solutions
Who you are:
You hold a Master’s degree (or comparable) in Electrical Engineering, Biosignal Hardware Engineering, or a related field.
You bring 3-5 years of industry experience in developing electronic systems — ideally in the field of EEG or biosignal acquisition
You have proven experience in designing and/or testing analog circuits or embedded systems
You’re curious, proactive, and able to work with a diverse, international team
You’re fluent in English; German is a plus
Experience in mechanical design is a plus
Why Join
Work at the Edge: Redefine how humans and machines interact.
Real Impact: Bring deep tech from lab to market.
Collaborative Culture: Work across disciplines in a fast-evolving space.
