SystemsAccountants Inc. in Berlin seeks a Head of Accounting and Tax to lead the accounting function for a growing technology group. You will oversee R2R, tax, and reporting, building a scalable function and guiding a team of 5-10 professionals.

You will collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors across international markets, ensure month-end and year-end closings, and drive process improvements and automations while ensuring compliance with HGB and IFRS.

Competenze

• 10+ years of experience in German-headquartered international businesses.
• Audit background (Big4 or similar).
• Experience building and leading a first-class accounting function in a growing technology business.
• Industry experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing.

Head of Accounting and Tax

An international technology company is looking for a Senior Finance Leader to lead their Accounting Function for the Group.

The Head of Accounting and Tax will lead, manage and improve Accounting and R2R processes, Tax and Reporting areas. Managing a team of 5-10 already in the department, this role will focus on building a scalable accounting function in a growing technology company. It will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable accounting for local entities and at Group level and will provide leadership across Accounting processes (HGB and IFRS) and Taxation, working with external tax experts for international markets.

Your role:

• Accounting Leadership including managing the Accounting function for a large and growing technology company
• Management of the accounting and Finance team as well as building the department according to needs
• Improve Record-to-Report and Accounting processes
• Collaborate with Auditors, external Consultants and Tax experts to ensure efficient and reliable numbers including month and year end close
• Identify and manage a roadmap of improvements e.g. process improvement and automations

Your experience:

• Accounting Director, Head of Accounting, or Senior Manager Accounting with 10+ years' experience in German Headquartered international businesses
• Audit background in e.g. a Big4 company or similar
• Experience building and leading a first-class Accounting function in a growing technology business
• Industry experience including Supply Chain, Logistics or Manufacturing companies highly desirable
• Accounting or Tax qualification
• Excellent knowledge of German GAAP HGB and IFRS

Fluent German essential
