We are recruiting for a high growth business that has an international presence. This role is to transform how accounting is done and bring together workflows underneath a shared service function that is being built.

Location: 3 days in the office, 1 hour outside of berlin.

We’re redefining Accounting into a high-quality, automated, and scalable function. As Head of Accounting, you will shape how financial information flows through the organisation and ensure that every number is accurate, controlled, and meaningful.

This role leads AP, AR, GL, and Fixed Assets teams and builds a culture of clarity, ownership, and performance. You’ll work closely with Finance Business Partners, Tax, Treasury, Consolidation to ensure Accounting is deeply connected to the broader Finance ecosystem.

You will own the full closing cycle under IFRS and Local GAAP, ensuring timely statements, strong reconciliations, and complete data from all source systems. High-quality documentation, audit trails, and financial control standards will sit at the core of your work, along with acting as the go‑to expert for Local GAAP topics.

A major focus of this role is process excellence. You’ll design and enhance end‑to‑end Accounting processes , implement consistent KPIs and RACIs, and harmonise procedures across all entities to create a controlled, scalable environment aligned with our Corporate Finance Operating Model.

You will also play a key role in our Finance Transformation. From optimising SAP S/4HANA to improving data flows, workflow automation, and system integration. Governance, compliance, and audit readiness will be central. You’ll lead Local GAAP statutory audits, support IFRS Group audits.
