Senior leadership role responsible for the overall management and performance of the Accounting department in an international environment. Required Skills

• Proven leadership and people management experience, preferably within an international organization
• Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams
• Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency
• Strong digital and AI literacy, with the ability to leverage automation, AI, BI, and modern technologies to improve reporting and accounting processes
• Experience working cross-functionally and acting as a senior business partner
• Advanced English; German is a plus

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• MBA, ACCA, CIMA, CECCAR, or other relevant professional certifications are an advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounting department, setting objectives, priorities, and performance expectations
• Provide strategic direction and ensure the effective organization of accounting activities
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain accounting professionals
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Own and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and statutory requirements
• Establish and maintain effective accounting processes, controls, and procedures
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization across accounting operations
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, including automation, AI, BI, and data-driven reporting solutions
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce manual activities, and improve data quality
• Act as a senior business partner to other departments
• Provide management with relevant financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decisions
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, consultants, and other external stakeholders
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findingsEnsure effective collaboration with international finance teams and global stakeholders
• Monitor departmental performance, KPIs, risks, and resource requirements
• Contribute to the development and execution of the company's broader finance strategy
