Global Product Leader – Network Backbone

(m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and growth of the Wired Networking - Backbone product portfolio, ensuring differentiation, innovation, and customer value
• Drive cross-functional product execution across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations—ensuring quality, timely delivery, and commercial success
• Define and execute a compelling product roadmap based on deep market insight, technology trends and customer needs
• Manage the full product lifecycle, from go-to-market planning and launch to EOL transitions, ensuring organic growth and customer migration
• Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) and financial performance of the assigned product lines
• Serve as the central orchestrator across the business—connecting R&D, sales, pricing, marketing, legal, and operations to drive alignment and execution
• Foster collaboration and interoperability across product categories to create end-to-end solutions that support Belden’s transformation from product to solution provider
• Lead and develop a high-performing, diverse team of product managers with clear accountability, strategic clarity, and growth mindset
• Champion the Wired Networking Backbone business internally and externally—acting as the voice, advocate, and driver of long-term success

Qualifications

• Education – Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Experience – 10+ years in product management, including 3+ years in a leadership role, proven success launching and growing complex hardware/software product lines, demonstrated ability to lead without authority across functions and regions, experience driving full lifecycle strategies including pricing, GTM, EOL, financial performance and P&L
• Industry Knowledge – Deep understanding of backbone networking in industrial verticals (e.g., energy, transportation) and preferably in an IT context, familiarity with technologies such as embedded systems, MPLS / Segment Routing, VXLAN / EVPN campus fabrics and industrial IoT as well as interoperability and solution building
• Personality – Visionary mind with sharp market insight and a bias for action, strong communicator, team builder, and influencer with high emotional intelligence, data-driven decision-maker who thrives in ambiguity and makes progress with imperfect information, high integrity, inclusive leadership style, and a strong eye for developing talent
• Willingness to travel – Up to 25-50%, including international
• Language proficiency – Fluency in English (written and spoken); Flemish, Dutch or German is a plus
