Role Overview

We are looking for a (Senior) Customer Success Manager who combines strategic client management skills with deep, hands-on expertise in performance marketing and media buying.

In this role, you will not be resolving technical support tickets or handling routine administrative tasks. Instead, you will serve as a high-impact strategic consultant and trusted growth advisor for your own dedicated portfolio of clients. By translating multi-channel attribution insights into clear, actionable performance strategies, you will help marketing leaders and C-level executives optimize their budgets and scale their paid campaigns effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Client Consultation & Advisory: Act as the primary strategic counterpart for a portfolio of e-commerce and lead-gen clients. Provide expert guidance to CMOs, Marketing Directors, and media buyers on channel budget allocation, campaign structures, creative testing frameworks, and multi-channel scaling.
• Post-Setup Onboarding & Rapid Value Realization: Partner with new accounts immediately following their initial technical setup. Teach client teams how to navigate and interpret complex attribution metrics, enabling them to make smarter, data-backed ad-spend adjustments early in their lifecycle.
• Portfolio Health, Retention & Revenue Growth: Maintain overall account health across your portfolio. Proactively identify churn risks before they materialize, introduce new platform feature updates, and unlock revenue growth through value-driven upselling and expansion strategies.
• Data-Driven Storytelling & Interactive Communication: Convert complex attribution analytics into persuasive, easy-to-digest growth narratives. Communicate recommendations through interactive, phone-first and video consultations rather than relying on lengthy email threads.
• AI & Process Optimization: Actively leverage modern generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, and internal productivity applications) to streamline reporting, optimize daily workflows, and build scalable Customer Success routines.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Professional Experience: Minimum 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience in performance marketing, media buying, or paid media agency consulting (agency, MarTech vendor, or brand-side) with proven, direct client management experience.
• Paid Media Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of major ad networks—specifically Meta Ads and Google Ads—including campaign hierarchy setup, budget distribution, attribution windows, and scaling tactics.
• Core Marketing & Attribution Fundamentals: Thorough command of essential digital marketing concepts, including UTM parameter setup, marketing funnel progression, new vs. returning customer acquisition metrics, and multi-touch attribution dynamics.
• Commercial Acumen & Communication Style: Excellent interpersonal skills with an assertive, direct, phone-first communication style. Demonstrates a commercial eye for recognizing expansion/upsell potential during client interactions.
• Language Skills & Location: Fluent German (C2 level) alongside business-fluent English (C1 level). Must be currently based in the Greater Munich Area or willing to relocate.

  Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Comfort integrating AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) into day-to-day operations.
• Familiarity with major e-commerce platforms and tracking ecosystems (Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopware, GA4, Google Tag Manager, or TikTok Ads).
