A leading materials service provider in Germany seeks an experienced asset manager with strong expertise in financial accounting and SAP FI/AA. The successful candidate will manage a diverse asset portfolio, prepare financial statements, and liaise with auditors. Excellent German and good English skills are necessary. This role emphasizes initiative, reliability, and discretion.
Asset Management: Independently managing the entire fixed asset portfolio for multiple entities. Coordinating with departments regarding investment orders and their representation in asset accounting
Postings: Recording additions and disposals, processing transfers for cost center changes, monthly depreciation as well as extraordinary write‑ups and write‑downs
Closings: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconciling subledger and general ledger, and actively contributing to analyses and documentation
Reporting: Preparing asset schedules, creating depreciation simulations in accordance with IFRS, and entering data into the parent company’s consolidation software
Point of Contact: Acting as the contact person for auditors during year‑end closing and serving as a subject matter expert for SAP projects and Key User for SAP FI‑AA
Inventories: Organizing and overseeing fixed asset inventories and ensuring necessary corrections in accounting records
Education & Experience: Completed commercial training with several years of professional experience in fixed asset and financial accounting; additional qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant is an advantage
IT Skills: Excellent knowledge of SAP FI/AA, ideally basic knowledge of SD, MM, and CO; proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
Language Skills: Excellent command of German (written and spoken) and good English skills
Personal Competencies: Initiative, sense of responsibility, reliability, and discretion
