Your mission

Do you have experience in finance and project controlling with a focus on public funding — and a passion for startups?

As a Finance & Procurement Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for financial planning, oversee procurement processes, and optimize costs. Join our team and ensure a solid financial foundation!

Responsibilities

• Administration and settlement of funding, including applications, fund requests, and proof of use within the framework of EXIST
• Preparation of financial and project reports, budget analyses, and personnel cost calculations, including interim and final reports for third-party funded projects
• Correspondence with project sponsors (e.g., Projektträger Jülich)
• Overall responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, including monitoring the use of grants
• Steering and optimization of procurement processes as well as maintaining supplier relationships
• Cost and efficiency optimization in financial and procurement workflows
• Preparation of financial forecasts and ensuring compliance with regulations

Your profile

• Experience in grant management or project controlling with a focus on federal and state funding programs, ideally with EXIST
• Solid knowledge of finance and accounting
• Experience in controlling, budgeting, and reporting
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
• Analytical and structured way of working, with enthusiasm for working with numbers
• Independent, reliable, and able to maintain an overview in complex situations
• Excellent German and good English skills
