PVA TePla AG is seeking a technically minded service engineer to install, commission and hand over customized special‑purpose machines at international customer sites. You will troubleshoot complex systems across mechanics, electronics, software, and vacuum technology, perform maintenance and upgrades, and provide on-site or remote support.

Travel is essential and German/English at B2 level are required. Applicants should have a technical training in electrical engineering and a valid driving

Your Responsibilities

• At international customer sites, you install and commission customized special-purpose machines for ultrasonic microscopy
• Your responsibilities include conducting functional tests, system acceptance procedures, and technical handovers directly at the customer’s premises
• When faults occur, you troubleshoot complex systems in which mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, software, vacuum technology, hydraulics, and robotics interact
• Maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and preventive service measures are carried out independently by you
• Whether on-site or remotely, you provide customers with support for technical questions and recurring service issues
• Through practical training, you enable customers to operate, maintain, and use the systems safely
• Clear and traceable documentation of your assignments, as well as the communication of technical feedback, complete your responsibilities

Your Profile

• You have completed technical training with an electrical engineering focus, such as mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics, or a comparable field
• With a practical understanding of complex technical systems, you systematically troubleshoot faults and handle electrical hazards with confidence
• Previous experience in technical service, commissioning, maintenance, or special-purpose machine construction is an advantage
• Any gaps in specialist knowledge can be addressed through targeted onboarding and qualification measures
• A valid Category B driving licence and a high willingness to travel internationally are essential
• International travel is part of the role, primarily within Europe and usually from Monday to Friday; occasional assignments in the USA or Asia may also be required
• Confident communication in both German and English is expected, with a minimum proficiency level of B2 in each language
