Job description

Gastronomous is an experiential and marketing agency with offices in Frankfurt and London. We deliver impactful marketing campaigns, events and experiences for loyalty programmes as well as bespoke activations for clients globally. Our creative-minded team work in an exciting and varied environment; no two days are the same at this agency.

Operating across Europe, the Middle East and the US, our multi-disciplinary team has delivered best-in-sector experiential campaigns for global brands seeking sophisticated, original and long-term impact. Specialising in food, culture, and travel, we create everything from ultra-exclusive HNW experiences to large-scale culinary festivals, all managed end-to-end by our expert team. We activate over 250+ experiences every year.

To meet the increasing deliverables of existing Germany based clients and new business growth in the region, we are looking to expand our team within our Frankfurt office.

The Role

You will be supporting the team in creating dining, culture and travel-related events, all year-round, for our client’s Members and guests, including high-net-worth individuals.

From Michelin-starred restaurants to sporting events to art galleries to travel (Europe) - this role is all about creating unforgettable experiences.

There will also be a significant interface with our various clients, mainly Lufthansa Miles & More. You will also be required to support other Business Units if needed.

Extraordinary attention to detail, excellent communication skills, outstanding customer service, creativity, problem-solving and can-do attitude are key to the role. Experience with premium brands, or high-end travel, is certainly a plus.

What Your Average Day Looks Like:
  • Making the events happen! Liaising with venues, top hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants and chefs, talent managers, suppliers and designers
  • Communicating with our clients, developing comms and events to satisfy demanding customers. Regular high-level contact with senior clients
  • Creativity. All the ideas, big and small, which go into making an original and memorable event, and a fantastic customer experience
  • Problem-solving: one of the key strengths of Gastronomous is that we always believe in turning problems into opportunities: to deepen customer relationships or to make the experience better
  • Marketing skills: great marketing from e-comms, to social media to print & production, digital advertising and the creation of the event collateral. Also, creating great decks to support new business, and presenting persuasively in person
  • Hosting the events on the day, problem-solving, dealing with customers and managing the customer experience
Event Management
  • Deliver and organise all events and projects in a smooth and controlled manner, using the established event/project management process
  • Research, liaise and negotiate with venues and other key suppliers to ensure great value ticket price for consumers
  • Research and liaise with suitable partners ensuring outcome is topical, relevant, engaging and in line with event deliverables
  • Support Directors with budget management
  • Manage venue, host, F&B, signage and temp staff if required
  • Managing the customer journey from tickets on-sale to the event itself
  • Hosting the events on the day, problem-solving and managing the customer experience
  • Effective on-site management and control during set up, delivery and breakdown for all events
  • Ensure robust customer satisfaction and impact evaluation processes are in place for all events and support creation of post event wrap up reports and feedback surveys
  • Regularly monitor feedback relating to events and take appropriate actions
  • While the working week is Monday-Friday, you will be required to work some weekend events
Marketing
  • Working closely with the team to plan, implement and evaluate marketing and communication plans to ensure the correct positioning of events and associated brands
  • Development of pre-event marketing including comms development, landing page development, customer comms and event collateral
  • Support with creative content and copy writing for the promotion of events
  • Use relevant branding and designs for event publicity
  • As part of the team, taking responsibility for fulfilling target numbers for events and projects through effective delivery of marketing and communication plans
