Jobbeschreibung
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
English Film Camp Counselors (m/f/d) 2026 Wiesbaden

Do you have experience with child care, au/bro pairing, tutoring, or teaching? What are you waiting for? Be a part of our crew!

We are expanding our dynamic, international team and need Camp Counselors (m/f/d) to work at our English language camps across Germany (North- and Baltic Sea coasts, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hessen, Bavaria, etc.) during the 2026 holiday seasons.

Since 2002, Oskar lernt Englisch has been turning week-long English camps across Germany into unforgettable adventures for kids aged 6 – 15. We mix hands‑on, project‑based lessons with lively, outdoor fun.

Our mission is to make learning English feel exciting, natural, and totally accessible. Energised, empathetic, and culturally diverse instructors lead the way, boosting campers’ language skills while creating long‑lasting memories and friendships that extend beyond camp.

We offer:
  • Travel, room, and board covered on overnight camps – and lunch on day camps.
  • Up to 8 weeks of summer fun: Fully available between 27 June and 12 September (Accommodation isn’t provided during weeks off).
  • First aid certification on us.
  • Your very own toolkit: Access our digital and physical library of teaching resources.
  • Staff hangouts: Pizza, drinks, and plenty of laughs.
  • Pay that grows with you: Earn more as you return for more camps!
Your tasks:
  • Seasonal freelance role during the German school holidays.
  • Lead fun, project‑based English lessons each morning using provided lesson plans.
  • Responsible for running a film program in the afternoons: storyboarding, script writing, costumes and acting, sound, and planning a filming schedule for the week – this is your chance to be a producer!
  • Support and supervise children during meals and break times.
  • Run creative workshops, sports sessions, and activities in the evenings.
  • Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and positive spirit to camp every day!
These are our requirements:
  • Fluent English skills (C1/C2).
  • Teaching experience and/or experience working with children outside of your family.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and care – especially when working with children.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, aspects of film making.
  • Proficiency with film editing software (any), as well as having a laptop with access to such.
  • Availability for at least 4 weeks per year during the German Easter, Summer, and Autumn school holidays.
    • Applicants available for at least one camp week between 28 March and 12 April 2026 will be prioritized.
  • Willingness and availability to complete both online and in‑person training.
    • In‑person training takes place in Berlin over one full weekend: 13–15 March, 29–31 May, or 19–21 June. This is not remunerated, but transfer to Berlin, accommodation, meals and snacks are included.
  • Willingness to complete a first aid course.
  • A current police check for working with children (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A valid work permit that allows freelance work in Germany (if applicable).
    • Please note: We cannot interview applicants who do not already hold a valid work permit.
    • If you have an appointment scheduled for your permit, please let us know the date.
    • Holders of student visas with the restriction “selbstständige Tätigkeit nicht erlaubt” are generally not permitted to freelance.
  • 18 years of age or older.
