Responsibilities

• Independently develop audience‑oriented technical customer documentation for our sophisticated products.
• Write documentation in English using an XML‑based authoring system.
• Work independently based on your technical knowledge, research, development documents and product simulations, and conduct interviews with internal subject‑matter experts when needed.
• Support the entire documentation process: from research through information design to publication and handover to translation.
• Develop clear information architectures, implement documentation concepts and actively contribute to the further development of our digital documentation products.
• Support the digitization of documentation processes and contribute your experience with new technologies and AI.
• Work closely with our editorial team as well as international teams from development and other departments.

Requirements

• Completed degree in engineering, natural sciences or a comparable field, or equivalent vocational training.
• Professional experience in technical communication and mastery of documentation methods such as topic‑based writing, single‑source publishing and cross‑media publishing.
• Sound knowledge of XML‑based authoring systems.
• Experience working in agile environments, documenting products with short release cycles, and using version control and change‑management tools.
• Quick comprehension, strong technical interest and the willingness to independently learn complex technical topics.
• Programming experience or knowledge of a programming language, as well as demonstrable experience in the application of AI.
• Very good analytical and abstract thinking skills.
• Very good German and English language skills, including command of technical terminology.
