Documentation Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented Documentation Manager to oversee the creation, organization, and maintenance of technical and project documentation for rail technology systems. This role ensures that all documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of technical documentation (creation, review, approval, release, and updates)
- Coordinate with engineering, software, testing, and project teams to gather and validate content
- Ensure documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain document control processes, versioning, and traceability
- Develop and enforce documentation standards, templates, and best practices
- Oversee preparation of user manuals, system documentation, test reports, and technical specifications
- Support audits by ensuring proper documentation availability and compliance
- Manage document repositories and tools (e.g., SharePoint, Team Center, Confluence, or similar systems)
- Ensure timely delivery of documentation aligned with project milestones
- Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes and quality
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field
- 4–7 years of experience in technical documentation or document management
- Strong understanding of documentation standards and lifecycle management
- Experience with document management systems and collaboration tools
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear documentation.
