Votre Rôle

As Director Technical Perfumery & Perfumery School ((m/f/d)) you will be leading our Technical Perfumery consisting of 12 technical perfumers located globally and be responsible for our Global Fragrance Palette of over 2,400 ingredients.
You will supervise and coach the perfumers in their main tasks: carrying out formula reworks, streamlining our portfolio of perfumery ingredients, identifying and filling gaps by adding olfactory or technically innovative materials, consulting on specification changes and other raw material or formula issues.
In this role you will closely collaborate with our Global Palette Management, Quality Control, Production and other Business Units.
Alongside you will be leading our Perfumery School where you will be responsible for the training and curriculum of our internal talents to prepare them for their positions in perfumery.
This Position is a full‑time role to be located in our Global Headquarter in Holzminden, Germany.

• Talent Development: Support perfumers professional development. Support perfumery school trainees' progression and successful integration into business units.
• < antim B compliance & Standards: Guarantee adherence to regulatory and compliance standards as well as global educational standards and internal evaluation practices.
• Efficient deployment of technical perfumers on the required projects. Optimize training resources and manage the academic budget effectively.
• People Management: Recruit, onboard, and develop qualified perfumers, teachers/trainers.
• Global Representation: Promote Symrise’s technical perfumers and educational brand within academic and professional communities.
• Governance: Active member of the Perfumer’s Palette Steering and Perfumery School Board.

Your Profile

• You successfully completed your Master's degree or equivalent in Perfumery, Chemistry, Education, or a related field.
• You have 10 years of working experience within the fragrance industry.
• You already have working experience in a leadership role being responsible for talent development, training, or academic leadership.
• You are an experienced project manager with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• You have experience being responsible for budgeting and organizational development as well as a strategic mindset with a solution‑oriented approach.
• You are fluent in both written and verbal English and ideally have a good command in another major language such as German or French.
