Overview

Director of Finance who combines strategic foresight, hands-on execution, and deep understanding of technology-driven investment cases. You will be a key strategic partner to the executive team to prepare and execute strategic business decisions. You will define investment paths in deep tech, design financial strategies for sustainable revenue growth, and provide clarity in an evolving autonomy market. As part of a lean, high-performing team, you will build robust financial foundations required for technology driven companies.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and support strategic business decisions across product, growth, operations, and leadership.
  • Act as a trusted financial sparring partner to the executive team.
  • Provide strategic foresight on finance, liquidity, and capital allocation in a fast-evolving autonomy market.
  • Navigate dynamic and uncertain market conditions through robust scenario modeling and stress-testing.
  • Build and evaluate strategic options, translating uncertainty into clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Support investment decisions with forward-looking financial and market analyses.
  • Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modelling.
  • Define, track, and continuously optimize financial performance KPIs.
  • Ensure transparency across cash flow, runway, cost structure, ROI, and unit economics.
  • Build clear reporting, dashboards, and performance insights for management, board, and investors.
  • Establish and optimize financial processes, tools, and controls to support scalable growth.
  • Oversee audits, tax matters, and compliance in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Take a hands-on FinOps role initially, with the opportunity to scale the finance function and build a team over time.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling, business case development, and scenario analysis.
  • Exposure to technology, or CAPEX-heavy investment cases is a strong plus.
  • Experience preparing management- and investor-grade analyses, presentations, and reporting.
  • Highly analytical, structured thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and unstructured problems in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ownership-driven and hands-on, with the ambition to build and improve rather than just analyse.
  • Strong communication skills, able to distil complexity into clear, actionable messages.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and constructively challenging assumptions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and curiosity for technology-driven business models.
  • Fluency in English required; German is a strong plus.
