Role Overview

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (m/f/d) for our production site in Berlin. This role is the sole on-site finance position and holds full responsibility for all financial and accounting matters of the plant.

The CFO acts as a strategic business partner to the Plant General Manager and ensures financial transparency, governance, and performance management for the production site. Operational accounting and controlling activities are performed by an Amcor internal Finance Service Center based in Lodz, Poland.

In addition, the role ensures full compliance with group reporting standards and corporate finance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Overall Financial Responsibility
  • Full responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management of the production site
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with local, corporate, and external requirements
  • Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in cooperation with the Finance Service Center
Group Reporting & Corporate Requirements
  • Preparation, coordination, and validation of all group reporting packages
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, reporting standards, and deadlines
  • Act as the main interface between the production site and central/group finance functions
  • Implementation and monitoring of group finance guidelines and reporting requirements at plant level
  • Close collaboration with central finance functions and other stakeholders
Controlling & Business Partnering
  • Analysis of production, cost, and performance KPIs
  • Transparent financial reporting and decision support for the Plant General Manager
  • Identification of financial risks and opportunities and development of actionable recommendations
  • Support investment decisions (CapEx), business cases, and profitability analyses
Governance, Compliance & Process Excellence
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and financial governance standards
  • Main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal audits
  • Continuous improvement and standardization of financial processes at the plant
  • Support operational and transformation projects within the production environment
Qualifications & Experience
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Several years of relevant experience in finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, controlling, and cost accounting
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP accounting and knowledge in US-GAAP accounting
  • Experience working with shared service or finance service center models
  • Solid understanding of group reporting structures and corporate finance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on, business-oriented mindset
  • High level of independence, ownership, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
