Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Integration Specialist to define and validate Paylocity integration requirements and specifications. You will drive projects from conception to delivery, coordinating with Sales, Implementation, and Customer Service to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

You will troubleshoot API integrations, work with MS SQL and data transfers, and contribute to documentation for internal and external users.

Jobbeschreibung

• Define, model, validate, and document integration system requirements and specifications
• Identify project milestones, phases, and elements while keeping projects within timelines
• Manage new integration projects through promotion of standard interfaces
• Drive use of core Paylocity system functionality to reduce customization needs
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams to communicate system capabilities
• Maintain and document Paylocity integration system capabilities and specifications
• Conduct user acceptance testing
• Update procedural documentation for calculations, extracts/imports, and integration configurations
• Create internal and external system integration user documentation
• Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional and technical integration specifications for vendors and clients
• Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
• Explain integration options, functions, capabilities, rules, interfaces, reports, and calculations to clients and vendors
• Troubleshoot integration-testing problems using Paylocity system knowledge, APIs, FTP, and SQL
• Partner with internal teams to refine requirements and identify alternative integration solutions
• Manage integration communications with Sales, Implementation, and Customer Service
• Interface with customer Payroll, HR, and Time & Labor data using Paylocity systems, MS SQL, and other programs
• Mentor and assist with training new employees and Level I employees
• Assist in driving process improvements
• Manage partner escalations and change requests
• Lead team meetings and maintain agendas and notes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least six years’ experience in the Payroll and HR Industry
• At least three years’ experience in a front-line customer-facing role
• Experience writing business specifications required
• Experience defining software requirements preferred
• Experience working in a project-based environment
• Knowledge of APIs and experience troubleshooting API integrations
• Knowledge of the data interface functional space
• Intermediate knowledge of FTP/SFTP
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL
• Intermediate knowledge of XSLT translation routines
• Intermediate knowledge of JSON data format
• Intermediate knowledge of SAML SSO technology practices
• Knowledge of EDI/XML file security preferred
• Experience working with company-to-company file transfers preferred
• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day
• Ability to operate computer and phone systems, type, and use multiple software programs simultaneously
• Must be available five days per week during designated work hours
