Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment, advanced packaging, process engineering, technical sales, application engineering, product management, or business development.
• Business-level English and Japanese; Japanese language skills highly required.

Aufgaben

• Develop new business opportunities within the semiconductor industry across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
• Build relationships with semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers, research institutes, and industry partners.
• Conduct market research and identify emerging industry trends and customer needs.
• Support the introduction and commercialization of new technologies and products in the European market.
• Coordinate with technical experts, R&D teams, and stakeholders in Japan.
• Organize customer meetings, workshops, evaluations, and business development activities.
• Prepare business plans, market analyses, and growth strategies.
• Act as the interface between European customers and Japanese engineering teams.

Following the acquisition of a specialized European engineering company focusing on semiconductor and microelectronics projects, the company is expanding its business in Europe and seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the semiconductor sector. This is a newly created position responsible for developing the European market for advanced semiconductor-related technologies and solutions developed in Japan. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and R&D teams in Japan and Europe to identify business opportunities, establish customer relationships, and support the commercialization of innovative technologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities within the semiconductor industry across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
• Build relationships with semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers, research institutes, and industry partners
• Conduct market research and identify emerging industry trends and customer needs
• Support the introduction and commercialization of new technologies and products in the European market
• Coordinate closely with technical experts, R&D teams, and stakeholders in Japan
• Organize customer meetings, workshops, evaluations, and business development activities
• Prepare business plans, market analyses, and growth strategies
• Act as the key interface between European customers and Japanese engineering teams

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, advanced packaging, process engineering, technical sales, application engineering, product management, or business development
• Strong interest in technology-driven business development
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Business-level English and Japanese
• Japanese language skills are highly required due to close collaboration with engineers in Japan
• Willingness to travel within Europe
