Job summary

Bwi GmbH in Germany is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Cloud Engineer to plan, build and operate scalable Kubernetes clusters with GPU support for an AI service platform. You will optimize resources for AI/ML workloads and collaborate with data scientists and software engineers in an agile team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of Kubernetes experience, strong security know-how, and fluent German with very good English. Remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience operating Kubernetes clusters (on‑prem or hybrid).
• Strong networking and security knowledge for Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD).
• DevOps and Infrastructure as Code understanding.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and vector databases.
• Fluent German and very good English.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes operators development and MLOps tools (Kubeflow, MLflow, vLLM, NVIDIA Triton, DeepSpeed).

• Several years of practical experience (at least 5 years) operating container and virtualization environments, with a focus on Kubernetes (ideally on-premises or hybrid cloud)
• In-depth knowledge of networking and security concepts in the context of Kubernetes and experience implementing security policies
• Experience providing and administering CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD)
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of administering SQL, NoSQL and vector databases
• Fluent German and very good spoken and written English
