Role Summary

Purpose of this Job is to enhance and develop the SMBC EU AFC Risk Assessment (RA) and the SMBC EU Financial FC Group RA, to consolidate the local Risk Assessments with the EMEA AML Risk Assessment, to develop, implement, and manage AFC governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, horizon scanning, and to monitor and report to the MLRO and Management in relation to AFC Findings to ensure effective oversight and decision-making.

Position Description

Support the preparation of the local annual (Group) AML/CTF/Sanctions and Criminal Offences Risk Assessment

• Support the preparation of an EMEA annual AML Risk Assessment
• Administer the consolidation of the required local Risk Assessments with the EMEA AML Risk Assessment
• (Project-based) Implementation of the risk assessment conclusions into current policies, local standards and procedures liaising with Local MLRO, Office Heads, EMEA RCCO and other relevant stakeholders
• Align with the EMEA AFC Team to ensure the EMEA Risk Assessments remain compliant to regulatory requirements and industry standard
• Assist with development and implementation of AFC Regulatory Horizon Scanning
• Support the continuous enhancement of the SMBC EU AFC Policy framework Job Description 2
• Assist with Internal and external Audits and monitor the processing of findings
• Administration of (Committee) Meetings and report to the MLRO and Management in relation to AFC Findings to ensure effective oversight and decision-making
