Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage and perform routine building and grounds upkeep across our community. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and oversee make-ready tasks for vacant units to prepare them for new residents.

You will inspect work for quality, maintain parts inventory, and assist the Community Manager with budgeting and safety compliance. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in this hands-on role.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to support residents and colleagues.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and perform routine upkeep.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant apartments, schedule vendors and contractors, obtain supplies, and complete tasks.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of the grounds, amenities, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure policy compliance and quality.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate supplies within budget with the Community Manager.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in the manual.
• Assist budgeting for regular repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts where feasible and using tools wisely.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and safety laws are followed.
• Demonstrate strong customer service by addressing resident questions and complaints promptly.
