Job summary

Job Duck, LLC seeks a highly organized Bilingual Civil Litigation Paralegal to support a fast-paced legal team handling litigation matters. You will draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence while maintaining accurate case documentation and assisting with newly filed lawsuits.

The role requires effective communication with opposing counsel and court personnel, meeting deadlines, and working independently with templates and clear processes. Remote work with EST hours available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting litigation matters in a legal setting.
• First-party property damage experience preferred.
• E-filing experience required or preferred.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders, or other litigation documents.
• Experience communicating with opposing counsel, courts, judges, or judicial assistants preferred.
• Familiarity with United States litigation procedures and legal terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, proposed orders, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and assist with newly filed lawsuits.
• Communicate with opposing counsel, judicial assistants, court personnel, and internal team members.
• Notify judicial offices of relevant case developments, including settlements.
• Prepare and send conferral emails to opposing counsel when required.
• Draft initial pleadings and litigation-related documents using templates.
• Assist with case setup after new lawsuits are filed.
• Complete E-filing activities within deadlines.
• Maintain organized, complete case files and documentation.
• Prepare witness lists and exhibit lists as needed.
• Support civil litigation and property damage matters.
