Job summary

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative in Bogotá to source reliable carriers, secure truck capacity, and negotiate competitive freight rates. You will ensure shipments are covered and delivered on time, leveraging your trucking industry experience.

The role requires hands-on carrier negotiations, load coverage, and strong communication skills to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. Experience with load boards and TMS is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the trucking industry.
• Hands-on experience negotiating freight rates with carriers.
• Experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, load coverage, dispatch, or truckload operations.
• Proven ability to source carriers, secure truck capacity, book loads, and recover loads when coverage falls through.
• Familiarity with load boards, TMS platforms, and carrier management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily trucking operations and ensure loads are covered efficiently.
• Source, qualify, and secure reliable carriers and drivers to meet transportation requirements.
• Book loads with carriers and coordinate pickup/delivery details.
• Negotiate freight rates to obtain competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
• Monitor shipment status and follow up with carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Recover or re-cover loads when carriers cancel or fail to meet service requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers for reliable capacity.
• Maintain accurate carrier information, load details, and shipment documentation in the TMS.
• Communicate with internal teams, customers, carriers, and drivers to resolve issues.
• Identify delays and escalation when necessary.
• Monitor market conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
