Job summary

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Supervisor to lead the launch of our new Billing Division in Bogotá. You will oversee daily billing operations, ensure timely invoicing, supervise the billing team, and drive process improvements to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 1.5+ years in billing with leadership experience, strong Excel skills, and Advanced English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years in billing with leadership experience, preferably in logistics/transport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring invoices are accurate, complete, and issued on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring invoices are accurate, complete, and issued on time.
• Supervise and support the billing team, providing guidance, coaching, and assistance with complex cases.
• Monitor billing activities, account reconciliations, and invoice discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Operations, Account Management, and Finance teams to resolve billing issues.
• Review billing data and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
• Analyze billing reports and identify discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor team performance, workload distribution, and billing accuracy to meet operational goals.
• Support month-end and period-end closing activities by ensuring billing records and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain effective billing controls and documentation to support financial accuracy and data integrity.
• Contribute to the development of workflows, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance processes for the new division.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of experience in billing and leadership, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation.
• Experience in Billing, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), or related financial operations.
• Previous experience guiding, coordinating, or supervising team members.
• Strong analytical skills and experience reviewing invoices, reconciling accounts, and identifying discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze billing data and prepare reports.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), automated billing, or EDI platforms.
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting and data visualization tools.
• Experience working with U.S.-based clients or cross-cultural teams.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma.
