Job summary

AECOM seeks a highly motivated Tailings Leader based in Santiago de Chile to drive technical excellence and market growth in tailings management across Chile and LATAM.

The role combines leadership, client relations, and project oversight. You will mentor engineers, oversee design and construction of tailings facilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while expanding AECOM’s tailings footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience with tailings dam design/management.
• Proven success in business development and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for tailings dam design, assessment, and management.
• Drive business development across Chile and LATAM in tailings sector; lead proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure high quality deliverables.
• Stay updated on regulatory frameworks and promote best practices in tailings management.
