Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) seeks a Geotechnical/Tailings Practice Lead for the Latin America unit, based in Santiago, Chile. You will guide a team, uphold engineering excellence, and act as a technical leader on local, regional and global projects.

The role emphasizes senior leadership, mentorship, and strategic development with opportunities for hybrid work and continuous professional growth within a globally respected firm.

Formación

• 15+ years of geotechnical and tailings experience in natural resources.
• Eligible to register as professional engineer in Chile.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, decision-making, and coaching skills.
• Ability to train and mentor young professionals.
• Passion for creating a positive legacy for mining, business development, strategic planning, particularly in growing a team.
• Ability to lead engineering projects, while also participating as internal peer or technical reviewer.
• Strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence with long-term focus.
• Enhanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Focus on teamwork and interpersonal skills to build long-term client relationships with project teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and guide the Geotechnical/Tailings practice within the Latin America unit.
• Attract, hire, guide, mentor and train others.
• Act as subject matter expert / thought leader across global projects.
• Lead internal technical reviews, proposals and client presentations; manage project scope, budget and schedule.
• Generate new business through regular client interaction, industry involvement and publications.
