Zusammenfassung

HUBER+SUHNER is seeking an experienced technical specialist to provide fiber optic product support to customers and internal teams. You will analyze requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and assist in tender evaluations.

Key tasks include reviewing specs, troubleshooting field issues, conducting tests, and preparing proposals, datasheets, and BOMs. International collaboration and ongoing learning are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Telecommunication or related discipline.
• 6–8 years of experience in fibre optic products or telecom infrastructure.
• Experience in customer-facing technical support or application engineering.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical support for fiber optic products and solutions to customers and internal teams
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable fiber optic products for telecom network applications
• Support selection and specification of fiber optic cables, patch cords, connectors, adapters, and accessories
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements
• Troubleshoot field installation and performance issues related to fiber optic networks
• Conduct testing and validation of fiber optic assemblies and cable systems
• Handle day-to-day customer enquiries and technical discussions
• Conduct site visits for technical evaluation and problem resolution
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance sheets, and product presentations
• Assist in tender evaluations and technical bid submissions
• Support product demonstrations and customer trials
• Create and maintain product specifications, technical datasheets, drawings, and BOMs
• Prepare technical reports and field visit reports
• Support engineering change requests and product customization activities
