HUBER+SUHNER in Switzerland is seeking a Network Engineer to provide technical and field support for optical transceiver products and customer applications from Zürich. You will troubleshoot connectivity, perform transceiver qualification, and collaborate with global teams on customer projects, with occasional international travel.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 4–8 years in network engineering or related roles, CCNA (CCNP advantageous), and hands-on experience

• 4–8 years of experience in Network Engineering, Technical Support, Application Engineering, or related role.
• CCNA certification is required; CCNP is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with networking equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell, HPE, Nokia, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet networking, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Exposure to optical networking or optical transceivers is desirable.
• Basic Linux and scripting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer communication skills.
• Strong English communication and willingness to work with global customers.

• Experience with SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP28, QSFP-DD, OSFP, or related optical modules
• Knowledge of fiber optics, DWDM/CWDM, and data center networking
• Familiarity with transceiver qualification, validation, and interoperability testing
• Interest in learning EEPROM coding and transceiver software programming
