Job summary

Swiss IT Solutions CH GmbH seeks an experienced IT Support Engineer for on-site deskside and end-user IT support at a client site in Visp, Switzerland. The role is freelance for one year, starting ASAP and requiring on-site work in Visp.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, desktops, laptops, and printers, support Windows and macOS, and manage incidents in ServiceNow or similar systems while adhering to security procedures and SLAs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of desktop/ deskside IT support experience.
• At least 3 years of face-to-face support.
• 3+ years supporting Windows and macOS.
• Knowledge of AD, SCCM, JAMF or similar tools.
• Networking basics: VLAN, DHCP, DNS.
• Familiar with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide deskside and end-user IT support at a client location in Visp, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide deskside and face-to-face IT support to end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, desktop, laptop, and printer issues.
• Support Windows and macOS environments.
• Install, configure, deploy, and reimage computers.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or similar tools.
• Support Active Directory, user accounts, password resets, and video conferencing.
• Assist with IT asset management and hardware replacements.
• Follow IT security procedures and service-level requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Desktop, Deskside, or IT Support.
• At least 3 years of face-to-face support experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting both Windows and macOS.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, SCCM, JAMF, or similar tools.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLAN, DHCP, and DNS.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

• Availability to start as soon as possible.
