North Horizon Holdings is a Canadian institutional investor with a global investment footprint. We are value-oriented investors in private equity, venture capital, public markets and real estate.
The Operation Analyst is primarily accountable for oversight of the daily operation, records and filing, reporting and provide necessary operational support for front office in real estate and private equity/venture capital investment.
What will you do?
- Review and manage transactions records, utilize different investment management software/systems to book records properly.
- Audit and check the accuracy and consistency of cash outflow and inflow of different investment teams.
- Assist front office in fund budgeting and planning.
- Assist with the quarterly PE fund/Real Estate deal valuation process.
- Ensure the accuracy and security of important investment documents, especially legal instruments, org chart, investment memo.
- Oversee the investment process to guarantee all investment teams strictly follow our internal control and compliance policies.
- Reconcile and analyze investment data of different asset types to generate monthly/quarterly reports and financial statements in terms of management needs.
- Help improve back-office operational policy to standardize and streamline the process.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks including but not limited to coordinating meetings, translation and operational legal tasks relating to deal closing.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- At least Bachelor degree specialized in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Statistics.
- Ability to manage and analyze investment data using Excel Pivot Table, Excel VBA, PowerBI, SharePoint and Backstop (training will be provided).
- Proficient in using MS office suite to generate various reports (PowerPoint, Word and Visio).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both oral and written, ability to draft reports and presentation documents in both languages.
- Knowledge of financial industry and business routine.
- Efficacious coordination, organization and time management skills.
- A team worker with strong interpersonal skills to build good rapport with different internal departments.
- Strong attention to detail, accountable and reliable.
Nice to Have
- At least 2-year work experience in financial industry (experience in real estate Investment, PV/VC investment setting are preferred). Experience as a fund administrator or in operations is highly preferred.
- Strong data processing skills to identify, clean, analyze and interpret data using various data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of compliance policy, legal entities establishment and tax filing of fund investment or real estate investment in North America.
