We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our team based in North America. As CFO, you will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy, driving profitable growth, and ensuring the company's financial health. You will partner with senior leadership to provide insights, recommendations, and operational direction. Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
2. Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
3. Drive key business metrics, financial modeling, and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Operations & Reporting

1. Oversee all financial operations including accounting, treasury, FP&A, tax, and audit.
2. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in Canada and the US.

Capital Management & Investor Relations

1. Manage capital allocation, fundraising, and debt/equity financing strategies.
2. Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
3. Serve as the key spokesperson to the investor community, providing financial guidance and updates.

Business Partnering & Leadership

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Operations) to align financial goals with business initiatives.
2. Provide data-driven financial insights and recommendations to the SLT and Board of Directors.
3. Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams to achieve high performance and scalability.

Risk Management & Compliance

1. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks while ensuring appropriate controls and procedures.
2. Oversee compliance with tax laws, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
3. Implement financial systems and technology to improve efficiency and scalability.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
2. Experience in Cleantech, Greentech, or Renewables is a plus.
3. 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO or similar executive role in a SaaS or tech company.
4. Proven experience with venture capital, private equity, or public company financing and reporting.
5. Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
6. Deep knowledge of GAAP and SaaS business models (MRR, ARR, LTV, CAC, etc.).
7. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
9. Experience with SaaS pricing strategies, subscription billing systems, and revenue recognition.
10. Successful track record of leading companies through fundraising, mergers, or acquisitions.
11. Familiarity with financial software tools (NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Salesforce, etc.).
