The Role: As an Operations Associate, you’ll start your journey by focusing on one of the most critical areas of our business — fraud operations. For the first 6 months, you’ll be deeply involved in monitoring and improving our fraud processes, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. After that, you’ll rotate through various departments like Payments, Support, and more, driving process improvements and helping us automate wherever possible. It’s the perfect opportunity to make a big impact, learn a ton, and build your career in fintech.
What You’ll Do:
- Spend your first 6 months optimizing and improving fraud operations, making sure we’re preventing fraud efficiently and effectively.
- Dive into data and analyze fraud patterns, working closely with the fraud team to fine-tune processes and create smoother workflows.
- Once your time in fraud is complete, rotate to other departments like Payments and Support, where you’ll identify opportunities for process improvements, implement solutions, and help automate operations.
- Use SQL to analyze data and build actionable insights — automation is key, and we’ll rely on you to help drive it.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, offering operational insights and supporting day-to-day processes across the company.
- Help troubleshoot operational challenges and make sure teams can focus on what they do best.
What We’re Looking For:
- For this role, we are looking for an enthusiastic recent post-secondary graduate. You don’t need any relevant professional experience and all we care about is your technical skills (below) and passion for Chexy.
- SQL knowledge is a must — you’ll need to be comfortable querying data and automating processes to keep things running efficiently (will be tested as part of the interview process).
- Advanced Excel skills — we need you to be a pro with formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis (will be tested as part of the interview process).
- A genuine passion for fintech and a desire to learn about how payments are transforming the world.
- A problem-solving mindset — you’ll be working on challenges big and small, and you need to love figuring out how to make things better.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — you’ll be working with a lot of different teams, so being able to connect the dots is key.
