The Modernization & Enablement team drives business delivery and process improvement to enhance efficiency and support strategic growth across the organization. As the Business Project Manager, you will be joining CIBC’s Infrastructure Project Delivery team, with focus on delivery impacting Operations (Retail Account Services, Client Account Management, and Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management Operations and Retail Payment Services).You will work closely with others and manage a portfolio of projects from end-to-end. You will lead teams of stakeholders and business partners to ensure projects of all sizes are completed in line with the team’s scope, budget, quality and timeline, following CIBC’s Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF). You will use your expertise in project management and people change management (PCM) methodologies to make recommendations for continuous improvements on all project plans.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per month on-site, while other days will be remote. This is subject to change based on business and project requirements.

• Project Management Expertise: You have 3 - 5 years of experience successfully running end-to-end strategic projects and change management in fast paced environment with a willingness to learn and grow. Leverage understanding of project management principles, approaches and change management in the delivery of projects. Work with Sponsors, Business & Technology leads to initiate program/project structure & workstreams by supporting the development of project plans, status reporting, interdependencies, governance, objectives, success criteria, benefits management approach, scope requirements, project financials, defining resource requirements, and other related program tasks.
• Project Leadership: Proactively identify risks that will take projects off schedule and find solutions to correct the problem. Monitor milestones, and ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets. Develop, execute and track a project plan that is personalized for your team’s preferred mix of quality, time, and cost.
• Relationship Management: Build ongoing partnerships with key clients and business partners. Collaborate and develop informed decisions and plans with program/project partners as you work toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
• People Change Management - Lead and manage the People Change Management components of the project by incorporating change management methodologies into planning, integration and execution practices to ensure smooth transition towards the desired end state.
• Communication: Calibrate work progress, status and participate in the negotiation and influence business partners to ensure alignment of initiatives and individual deliverables across dependent initiatives.
