Responsibilities
- Coordinate competitive programs
- Develop well‑planned competitive schedules and programs
- Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions
- Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games
- Participate in coaching clinic instruction
- Analyze and evaluate athletes' or team's performance
- Observe and evaluate prospective athletes' skills and performance
- Supervise staff or team
- Select and purchase equipment and supplies
- Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
- Develop and manage programs and services
- Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques
- Conduct safety training programs
- Coaching
- Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events
- Maintain and repair sports equipment
- Lead or instruct individuals
- Provide technical and professional advice
- Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities
- Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
- Participate in provincial and/or national competitions and sporting events
- Participate in local and regional competitions and sporting events
