  • Use verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external clients
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the supply of materials and services for assigned projects
  • Recommend, develop, and implement strategic buying methods to reduce purchasing costs
We're looking for someone who can:
  • Identify, prioritize, and schedule multiple and concurrent tasks, both independently and as part of a team, in an environment of changing priorities and deadlines
  • Prepare and present technical information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing, to audiences with varying levels of understanding
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, clients, external service providers, management and work teams in a confident, objective and diplomatic manner
  • Analyze information, anticipate problems/opportunities, set priorities, create, evaluate and negotiate alternative solutions in a diplomatic manner and make appropriate decisions/recommendations
  • Apply standard purchasing principles, policies, and procedures
Your background and experience
  • Completion of year 1 of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) of the Supply Chain Management Professional program or working toward or have one of the following designations: 1) Designation from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in the United Kingdom, 2) Designation from the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) / American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), 3) Certified Public Purchasing Officer Certificate (CPPO), 4) Certified Supply Chain Professionals, 5) International Association of Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM)
